You don’t have to pay anything to find these opportunities. These companies fall into three categories in terms of  difficulty. They are easy, moderate and a little more professional.  Let’s break that down.

Easy – These companies have websites with blogging on them. They have bloggers contributing content to them all the time. The writing is not necessarily bad. But they don’t really qualify as articles.  These “easy” companies have guidelines, quality control and editors. But it is still easy to get onboard with them even for  a beginner writer. A beginner would be a writer who has never produced a blog or an article.  If you can write an explanation about  “how to boil water,” then you qualify  for a company in the “easy” category.

Moderate – These companies are a little, not much, harder to write acceptable articles for. Their guidelines require a little more attention to detail.  They have higher standards.  Nevertheless, its still possible to get on with them if your writing sample looks good.  If you’re a beginner writer and you have decent writing samples posted on one of the “easy” companies, then so much the better.

More professional – Of the three categories here, this  one would require a little more professionalism. By the way, the opportunities to learn and grow as a writer  exist at all of the companies. The more professional opportunities would require verifiable citations and research on the articles you produce.  As a result, they pay more money.  They scrutinize style, relevancy and keyword saturation more so than the others.  Still this level is not out of reach of the “boil water” writer.

If you as a beginner, posted articles at companies in the easy and moderate level in that order, then it would not take much time to produce professional articles.  Of course, you would learn a little from each company you produce articles for.

In conclusion, if you have been blogging, you may find writing short  articles (150-400 words) easy.  If you have never done any blogging or online articles or any kind of articles whatsoever, then you’ll find these opportunities exciting.
